Firdaus Mohamed Hoesein, new COPACETIC PhD
Firdaus A.A. Mohamed Hoesein started working as a PhD-student at the Univerity Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands
Firdaus Mohamed Hoeseingraduated last August as Medical Doctor. In September 2009 he started working as a PhD-student at the department of Respiratory Medicine of the University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands. Hoesein is, as he stated, ‘interested in respiratory medicine as a whole, but especially interested in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease’. His research in Utrecht will focus mainly on lung function decline over time in former and current (healthy) smokers. ‘I eventually hope that the outcomes of our research will contribute a little to decrease the (future) burden of COPD’.
